International Students Loughborough: Is it for me? Set on the EU’s largest single campus with cafes, book shops, a lively Students’ Union attracting big-name entertainment and exemplary sporting facilities (used by our national rugby, swimming and cricket teams no less), Loughborough University provides the ideal environment to pursue your studies whilst learning firsthand English language and culture. We value students from all backgrounds for their unique perspectives and insights. Because more than 1 in 10 of Loughborough’s students are from overseas (from Austria to Zimbabwe), the University runs an International Students Association, a Careers Service (with a dedicated international careers advisor), and an English Language Study Unit, offering support throughout your stay. And with the vast majority of all students choosing to live on our vibrant campus, Loughborough is a supportive, active and fun-filled community. All in all then, you’ll find that Loughborough combines high-ranking teaching and research expertise with excellent on-campus resources, entertainment and student facilities. With all this plus much more, you’ll soon settle in to our safe and welcoming environment. For further information, please visit the University’s webpages at www.lboro.ac.uk/admin/ar/international.
We currently offer four one year full-time taught management programmes at the Master’s level. Very popular with overseas students, these programmes are designed for non-business graduates interested in pursuing careers within management. For our MSc’s in Management, please click here. Our Postgraduate Research programmes are ESRC-accredited, research-intensive, highly collaborative and rewarding, with a focus on combing academic rigor and business relevance. Students can choose one of two methods of study: the PhD programme can be completed in either three years (full-time) or five years (part-time); and the MPhil, which takes either two years (full-time) or three years (part-time) to complete. The MRes is a 12-month programme that is based on taught modules in Semesters 1 and 2, and a dissertation finishing at the end of Semester 3. For our PhD, MPhil and MRes programmes, please click here.
We also run an on-campus nursery for younger members of the family, several religious and spiritual centres, as well as a professionally managed Counselling Office, should you have need of an advisor.
A 90-minute train journey from London, the University is just three miles from the M1 motorway and six from the international Nottingham East Midlands airport. You’ll be right in the middle of the UK, with the rest of the country easily accessible road, rail or air.
