Why a Loughborough MBA?
I looked carefully at the OU and Warwick MBA programmes before choosing Loughborough. For me the discipline of regular weekly group sessions, the convenience of the Loughborough University site (I live in Quorn) and its “top ten” position were all reasons for choosing Loughborough. Since starting the course I have “bench marked” the course with colleagues studying at Warwick and through distance learning programmes and believe it compares equally to Warwick and is far preferable to any of the distance learning formats.

What I like about the course
The course is extremely well managed and organised with some excellent lecturers who are both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the material they present. The structure and timescales mean that it is realistic to study and hold down a full time job at the same time - well just!! The balance between group and individual assignments allows you to learn from fellow students as well as lecturers.

How it has helped me in my current/future roles
The course is allowing me to acquire recognisable and transferable business skills that are becoming a pre-requisite for managers in today’s business environment. The course has already (I am in my first year) equipped me with the skills to implement a number of business improvements in my own business. The MBA will help me to develop my career more widely within my current business or outside the industry in future.
